First bank of a foreign automotive concern, Toyota Bank, has joined the state program of concessional automotive crediting, Kommersant reports. At that, none of credits currently offered by the Bank complies with conditions of the program. Toyota Bank has submitted an application for participation in the program, most probably for a case that the Ministry of Industry and Trade will change the program parameters which will make it possible for the Bank to credit purchase of Toyota Camry, assembled in Russia, experts suppose. Toyota Bank is the only captive bank of a foreign automotive concern operating in Russia, taking the opportunity to participate in the state program of concessional automotive crediting. However, currently Toyota Bank offers no automotive credits which comply with conditions of the state program of concessional crediting.

During two months of 2010, 165 862 autos were sold in Russia, which is a 34% decrease on the same period of 2009, the Committee of Automakers by the Association of European Business reported. Sales drop in February as compared with the second month of 2009 amounted to 32% (to 91 922 vehicles). Korean Hyundai which realized 11 821 autos (a 22% decrease on the previous year) is still the most popular brand according to the results of the two months. Chevrolet is at the second position (11 169 vehicles sold, a 47% decrease on the previous year), Korean Kia is the third (10 580, +27%). French Renault is in the second place (8505, -2%), and Ford managed to return to the fifth place (7376, -60%). Last month it was seventh with a 63% sales decrease on the previous year.
