Taking into account the situation in 2014 and forecasts on macroeconomic, legal and market factors, the forecast until 2020 was developed.
In 2014, trends of the previous year were typical for the market structure by price segments:
decrease in such indices of the low-cost segment as the amount of cars and the market share against the background of growth of sales of cars of the premium price segment.
In comparison with 2013 the market structure did not change in terms of the price segments. The low-cost seg-ment still accounts for more than half of the market (53.56% in 2014). In 2014 the mid-range segment occupied 11.84%, the premium segment – 34.60%.
In 2014 the market of new trucks of European brands changed its leader. Despite decline in sales SCANIA displaced MAN from the first place, as decrease in MAN sales was much higher than the reduction in demand for SCANIA trucks
