The automotive cluster in the Tula region will be created on site of Uzlovaya industrial park, where in 2017 the Chinese concern Great Wall will launch the car production. This investment project envisages the construction of an automobile plant, comprising shops of stamping, welding, painting, assembly and manufacture of automotive components. European and Asian manufacturers of automotive components are interested in the industrial park in the Tula region.

Currently negotiations about the launch of production of automotive components in Uzlovaya industrial park are carried out with companies from China, South Korea, Japan, USA, Germany and Turkey. In addition, local authorities intend to engage local companies in the production - Tulachermet, Tulachermet-Steel, Shchekinoazot, Plastic, RTI.

Sollers Group opened an industrial park for manufacturers of automotive components and logistics companies. A new site began to work at Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant.

The park is located on the territory of industrial zone East of the automobile plant and covers an area of 56 hectares, where there are 23 buildings with a total area of more than 377 thousand square meters. A new site was created on the former territory of UAZ, which plans to reduce its production area in six years — from 312 to 50.2 hectares.

The group has already signed an agreement with the first resident of the park. The project for the development of industrial site of the enterprise will be implemented till 2020.

By 2018 Ford Sollers plans to increase the level of its production localization in Russia to 60% in accordance with the agreement on industrial assembly. The company notes that the group's strategy of localization will remain unchanged even in case of the drop in sales. At the end of 2014 the level of localization of the joint venture was 40%.

The main directions of localization of materials of Ford Sollers – metal (the specific weight in the car cost is 50%) and petroleum chemistry (30% respectively). Strategic partner in the implementation of tasks of an effective localization in the field of petroleum chemistry and polymers for the holding is the Republic of Tatarstan, where there are three of four production sites of the company.

Ford Sollers has a total of 70 suppliers of the first level in Russia and more than ten suppliers of the second and third levels and this number grows as the company attracts new local suppliers.
