By the end of 2014 Ford Sollers reached the general level of production localization of 40%. By 2018, the localization of the Russian production of Ford cars will reach 60%.

The company actively develops the base of suppliers of components and raw materials, which currently consists of about 70 local suppliers, and diversifies the amount of locally produced components. More than 100 items of stamped products are purchased locally. The localization of the metal for the manufacture of bodies is 65%. The Russian petrochemical companies developed 7 variants of polymer compositions for the production of interior/exterior parts, such as bumpers, door panels and dash boards, etc. Ford Sollers also started to install parts of the local plastic developed in Russia in cars. A total of 86 parts of the local plastic are produced for Ford cars manufactured at Ford Sollers plants, and by the end of 2015 it is planned to increase this number to 150 parts.

At PSMA Rus plant in Kaluga localization in the line of sedans, which assembled PSA Peugeot Citroën cars (Peugeot 408 and Citroën C4 sedan), is 35%. By 2017 this figure will increase to 50%.

Ford Sollers company completed the construction of a plant for the production of engines in Tatarstan. The company will be launched this year. The total investment in the project will amount to 274 million dollars.

Petrol engine 1.6 Ti-VCT Sigma with three variants of capacity – 85 HP, 105 HP and 125 HP will be the first product to be assembled by the new Ford Sollers engine plant in Tatarstan, which will enable Ford Sollers to equip not less than 30% of Ford cars produced in Russia with engines. New Sigma engines produced in Russia will be installed in Ford Focus, Ford Fiesta and Ford EcoSport.

Increasing localization of production, Ford Sollers begins to install parts of the local plastics in cars produced in Russia. Focus and Fiesta were the first cars assembled using domestic plastic parts.

Ford cars, which are produced at Ford Sollers factories, have 86 details of Russian plastic, and by the end of 2015 their number will increase to 150. Russian plastic will be used in interior and exterior elements such as bumpers, dashboards, air ducts, framing parts, ducts of the heating and ventilation system, external deflectors, etc.

The raw materials for plastic are supplied by the company Tatchimplast from Kazan, and parts are produced by Magna Automotive Rus from Nizhny Novgorod and Faurecia Interior systems from Luga.
