The Ministry of Industry and Trade offered Renault-Nissan, Volkswagen and Hyundai to join to jointly manufacture gear boxes and engines in Russia. The Department believes that thus producers will be able to receive benefits from the state.
The official opening of a new plant for the production of automotive components BRISK RUS LLC took place in Togliatti. The line for the production of spark plugs intended for both the primary and secondary market was commissioned at this plant. The company is a subsidiary of the Czech BRISK Tabor, a.s JSC.
Total Vostok, a subsidiary of Total group in Russia, began the construction of a plant for the production, storage and shipment of motor oils, lubricants and related materials on the territory of the Kaluga region. The plant commissioning is scheduled for 2018. The agreement on cooperation to implement the investment project on the construction of the future plant was signed on October 17.
Three years after the official opening Continental tire plant in Kaluga reached its full production capacity. The company was founded in October 2013 and became the first Continental tire plant in Russia. Within three years the company systematically increased its production volume by 1 million tires per year.
Renault Russia established supplies of automotive components and spare parts from Russia to other countries and their flow expands. Currently the company works with more than 20 suppliers, organizing export of automotive components and parts for Renault plants and commercial networks in 16 countries.
As of now more than 160 items such as, in particular, stamping parts, plastic parts, brake and running gear components, lighting units are exported from Russia.
A joint project of KAMAZ and Daimler on the construction of SFTP cabin frame plant is on schedule. By the end of 2016 it is planned to put up the walls, lay the roofing of the industrial building and connect communication. The construction shall be completed in 2018, then the equipment will be installed and commissioning work will begin. Launch of serial production of cabin frames is scheduled for 2019 - 2020.
