Bridgestone will open its first plant in Russia and CIS in the Ulyanovsk region in May. Investment into the project will be 12.5 billion rubles. When the plant reaches its full capacity, approximately by 2019, it will produce 2 million tires per year, and if there are orders it may double its production volumes to 4 million tires.
The Czech Brano Group established a new plant for the production of automotive components in Nizhny Novgorod. The enterprise Branorus is located on the territory formerly owned by the factory Agat. Investment into the project amounted to around 6.5 million Euros, of which 3.5 million Euros were allocated for the industrial warehouse complex and 3 million Euros – equipment and technologies.
