30.09.2014 / Insurance payments for the vehicle damage will be increased beginning October 1, 2014

A number of amendments to the law on MTPL insurance will come into force beginning October 1, 2014. According to new MTPL insurance contracts concluded from October 1, 2014, the sum of insurance for the damage to property will be 400 thousand rubles for each vehicle, injured in an accident. But insurance companies wait for new tariffs, which the Central Bank promised to establish by October 1, 2014.

According to agreements signed before October 1, 2014, the maximum payment for the damage to property of one person, will be still 120 thousand rubles; for the damage caused to property of several persons, - 160 thousand for all of them.

New provisions of the law on MTPL insurance will not come into force immediately, but gradually, within several years. New limits on payments for the damage caused to life and health (in the amount of 500 thousand rubles) will be effective only beginning April 1, 2015.

Russian prices for Acura TLX became known. The car will go on sale in December. In Russia the car will be offered in versions with engines displacement of 2.4 and 3.5 liters. The price will start from 1899000 and 2369000 rubles, respectively.

The version with 2.4-liter engine is equipped with eight-speed gear box with two clutches, the car with 3.5-liter engine - with nine-speed automatic gear box with push-button selector and all-wheel drive.

Russian dealers Suzuki will launch sales of an updated version of SUV Jimny in October. The car received the new seat upholstery, new dash board, improved steering wheel design. Suzuki Jimny will be available in 8 colors, including three new tints.

The car is equipped with 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine, which works in combination with five-speed manual and four-speed automatic gear box. All-wheel drive transmission with a front axle air driven clutch enables to switch regimes 2WD and 4WD while moving.

The new price list for cars and SUVs Mercedes-Benz will enter into force beginning October 1, 2014. It includes new standard versions of cars of C-, E-, GLK - and M-classes, which will be cheaper by 180000-220000 rubles depending on the model.

So, beginning October 1, 2014 the car of C-class in a base version C 180 will cost 1390000 rubles, and E 200 in a base version - 1750000 rubles (according to the price list effective from September 1, 2014 – 1950000 rubles).

The price for a crossover GLK 250 4MATIC and SUV ML 250 BlueTEC 4MATIC in a base version will be 1750000 rubles (currently - from 1990000 rubles) and 2750000 rubles (currently – 2980000 rubles) respectively.

VEB will provide a loan of 30 billion rubles for AVTOVAZ and United Automobile Group (OAG, a part of AVTOVAZ). The matter concerns the modernization of production at AVTOVAZ, creation of a new generation of engines, which will be supplied to AVTOVAZ, as well as projects, connected with the development of new models at site in Izhevsk. A total of about 30 billion rubles will be provided for all three projects.

These projects and their funding are included in the overall limit, in respect of which in 2012 VEB decided to allocate up to 60 billion rubles for the implementation of AVTOVAZ investment program.

The new sedan Datsun on-DO, pre-orders for which Russian dealers Datsun have been accepting since July 2014, is available in three versions Access, Trust and Dream.

The price for a version Access starts from 329 thousand rubles, Trust - from 355 thousand to 389 thousand rubles, Dream - from 400 thousand to 445 thousand rubles.

Dimensions of Datsun on-DO are 4337 mm in length, 1700 mm in width and 1500 mm in height. At the same time sedan offers its customers a luggage compartment volume of 530 liters and the possibility of compartment transformation due to folding rear seats. The road clearance of this car is 174 cm at full load. Datsun on-DO will be equipped with 1.6-liter petrol engine 8V with two variants of capacity of 82 HP and 87 HP and five-speed manual gear box.

As a result the brand share in the falling Russian market reached 0.8% against 0.6% in the previous year. The company BMW announced the Russian prices for a crossover X6 of the second generation. The car will be available with two diesel and one petrol engines.

The version BMW X6 xDrive30d is equipped with 3.0-liter engine capacity of 249 HP. The price for this car is 3508000 rubles.

The version BMW X6 xDrive50i has 4.4-liter petrol bi-turbo engine V8 capacity of 450 HP. This modification will cost 4214000 rubles.

In 2016 Renault plans to launch the production of one more crossover, the prototype of which will be Renault Captur, at the Moscow plant Reno Russia. The new car will be produced by a full cycle in the amount of several tens of thousands of cars per year. The new crossover will be adapted to the Russian market, but its name, configuration and design will be different from Captur. Currently Renault Captur is manufactured in Spain and the company does not plan to export it in Russia.

Following results of eight months of 2014 Russian dealers Nissan increased sales by 18% to 102545 cars. As a result the brand share in the falling Russian market reached 6.5% against 4.8% in the previous year. Russia is the fifth largest market for the company Nissan in the world. In the local market Nissan is on the fifth place in terms of sales, having moved up from the eighth place, which it occupied last year.

Nissan will continue to update its model line-up and will present some more new cars to the Russian buyers. The course for localization of production in Russia will continue. One of the important company’s goals is to produce 90% of cars, sold by Nissan, in Russia by 2016. Currently this figure is about 70%. At the moment Nissan has four production sites in the country: Saint Petersburg, Togliatti, Izhevsk and Moscow.
