Volkswagen introduces digital showroom technologies. In special zones for consultations with large screens the customer can receive all necessary information on the car. Currently there are four Volkswagen digital showrooms in Russia – three in Moscow and one in Saint Petersburg.
By the end of 2018 Chery plans to bring the number of its dealerships in Russia to 115. Over the last two years the company actively engaged in the reorganization of its dealer network. The number of dealers, as a rule, ranges within 100. Currently the brand has 77 of dealers, some of which will be closed. The company plans to open 50 centers in several cities
KIA Motors Rus opened the new dealer center KIA «Temp Avto Don» in the Rostov region. This is the first official KIA dealer in Shakhty and the sixth in the Rostov region.
The new dealership with a total area of 1400 square meters meets KIA's «Red cube» standards. The showroom occupies 400 square meters.
In January-May 2017 sales of new cars increased by 12.2% on the similar period of 2016 and reached 516.7 thousand units. In May 2017 the new car market showed a 31.3% growth and sales amounted to 115.3 thousand units.
LADA cars still have the largest market share - 20.4% over the first five months of 2017.
Skoda Auto Russia offers its customers new terms of preferential auto loans, under which Rapid, Octavia and Yeti with the cost of up to 1 million 450 thousand rubles can be purchased at the rate from 6.9%. The initial payment shall be at least 20%.
According to the Russian Association of Motor Insurers, in May 2017 the average MTPL payment grew by 28% and amounted to 80.1 thousand rubles and the average premium fell by 3% to 5.7 thousand rubles. Increase in the average payment concerned not only MTPL, but hull insurance, which means the rising cost of car repair and spare parts.
In 2017 Renault Russia plans to supply about 6 thousand cars to Persian Gulf countries (Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Oman and Saudi Arabia). Renault Duster crossover produced in Moscow will be exported; its supply has already begun. Duster was adapted for the local market: the model received the tire pressure display on the dashboard and etc.
The joint venture of Mazda and Sollers in Vladivostok launched serial production of Mazda CX-5 crossover of the new generation for the Russian market.
In Russia the new Mazda CX-5 will be offered with two petrol engines displacement of 2.0 and 2.5 liters, developing 150 HP and 192 HP, respectively. Both engines can work in pair with six-speed manual or automatic gear box.
Suzuki considers the possibility to launch Ignis subcompact crossover and Baleno hatchback to the Russian market. In Europe sales of Ignis began in 2017, Baleno – in 2016. Both models have proven themselves in the European market; the company considers them to be promising for Russia.
MMC Rus developed a special limited offer for the purchase of Mitsubishi Outlander crossover. When buying the model under trade-in on credit for a term from 2 to 3 years, with the initial payment of 50% the marketing rate will be 0%. This offer enables buyers to recover costs of financing of the loan by a commensurate price reduction for the purchased car.
