24.12.2014 / Production of trucks KAMAZ will be launched in Azerbaijan

KAMAZ JSC and the Production Association «Ganja Automobile Plant» (Azerbaijan) signed a number of agreements for the assembly of vehicles KAMAZ on the territory of Azerbaijan.

One of agreements provides for the delivery of vehicle sets of trucks KAMAZ for the further assembly on site of the Azerbaijan enterprise. Another signed document was a license agreement between KAMAZ and Ganja Automobile Plant for the assembly of trucks KAMAZ-43114, 4326, 43118, 65115, 65117 and 6520 of vehicle sets.

It is expected that the assembly of trucks KAMAZ in Azerbaijan will begin in the first half of the next year. Production volumes will be determined in the near future.


19.12.2014 / Sales of cars in Kazakhstan decreased almost by 20%

According to Association of the Kazakhstan Car Business, sales of cars and LCVs decreased by 19.7% to 12627 units in November 2014. Following the results of eleven months of 2014 the automotive market of Kazakhstan increased by 0.3% and amounted to 139520 cars.

The absolute leader in the Kazakhstan market is a brand Lada, which share last month was 29.6% of sales of cars in Kazakhstan - 3738 cars (-37.2%). KIA, which sales increased by 29.6% and made 1416 cars, remains on the second place. Daewoo is on the third place - cars of the Korean brand were sold in number of 1300 units (+10.8%). The fourth result was shown by Hyundai - 1092 cars, which is a 4.6% decrease on the previous year. Toyota with a figure of 931 sold cars (-22.4%) rounds out the top five.


16.12.2014 / GAZ vehicles entered the market of Georgia

GAZ Group launched sales of GAZ vehicles, including GAZelle Next and GAZon Next, in Georgia.

At the sales launch event the base versions of new vehicles, including the cargo and passenger/cargo versions, 19-seat frame buses, as well as different versions of special purpose vehicles based on GAZ chassis were presented to customers.

Light commercial vehicles GAZelle Next will be supplied to Georgia either with Cummins ISF 2.8 diesel engines or with EvoTech 2.7 gasoline engines, medium-duty trucks GAZon Next will be supplied with YAMZ-534 diesel engines. Vehicles, sales of which were launched in Georgia, also include GAZelle Business, Sobol Business (including all wheel drive versions), GAZ-3309, Sadko GAZ-3308.

The JV Asia Avto Kazakhstan, established for the construction of the full-cycle automobile plant with capacity of 120 thousand cars per year and value of about 500 million dollars in Ust-Kamenogorsk, will include two members instead of three as initially planned. Social-Entrepreneurship Corporation Ертiс, which was to receive 25% minus 2 shares in JV, withdrew from the project.

This shareholder represents a company of the quasi-public sector and in accordance with changes in Kazakhstan legislation its participation in JV capital blocks up the access to a number of investment preferences. In June 2014 amendments to the law «On investments» were adopted, according to them, on the one hand, extent of the state support expands, and on the other one, these measures become inaccessible for state-owned companies.

Corporation «Bogdan» stopped the production and completes sales of cars Bogdan based on the model Lada. A significant part of cars was supplied to the Russian market, but in the beginning of the year deliveries in our country were ceased. Since the beginning of 2015 the unified form of electronic and paper vehicle certificate will be introduced in countries of the Customs Union. It will simplify the registration of vehicles in countries of the Customs Union and put in order the automotive market. The Russian form is approved as the uniform vehicle certificate.

The introduction of the unified form of the document will greatly simplify the life for drivers, especially when buying cars on the secondary market. In case with vehicles imported from Belarus and Kazakhstan, when registering them it was required to receive the new vehicle certificate, and for this purpose to obtain a certificate of compliance with Euro-5. The lack of unified approach to the utilization fee, which created some difficulties, also raised questions.

According to Association of the Kazakhstan Car Business, sales of cars and LCVs decreased by 12.7% to 13870 units in October 2014. Following the results of ten months of 2014, the automotive market of Kazakhstan increased by 2.3% and amounted to 126995 cars.

The absolute leader in the Kazakhstan market is a brand Lada, which share last month was 29.8% of sales of cars in Kazakhstan - 4132 cars (-28.8%). KIA, which sales increased by 39.1% and made 1516 cars, remains on the second place. Toyota is on the third place - cars of the Japanese brand were sold in number of 1339 units (+4.6%). The fourth result was shown by Hyundai - 1315 cars, which is a 5.4% decrease on the previous year. Daewoo with a figure of 1296 sold cars (-3.9%) rounds out the top five.


07.11.2014 / Sales of cars in Ukraine decrease 2.7-fold in October 2014

According to Association of car makers of Ukraine «Ukravtoprom», in October 2014 sales of new cars decreased almost 2.7-fold and made 5891 units in Ukraine. Thus, despite the fact that the demand for new cars increased by 1.4% on the previous month, the market showed the worst October result for the last 14 years. Over the first ten months of 2014 in Ukraine 82690 cars were sold, which is a 54.3% decrease on the previous year.

In October Toyota remains the leader in the Ukrainian market, it sold 704 cars (-38%). The second place is occupied by the local brand ZAZ with a figure of 411 sold cars           (-74.8%). Renault is on the third place - cars of the French brand were sold in number of 397 cars (-59.4%). The fourth result was shown by Volkswagen, which sold 367 cars              (-52.1%). Hyundai rounds out the top five - dealers of the Korean brand sold 360 cars      (- 72.9%).

The automobile company Bogdan Motors, combining the business assets of Bogdan Corporation, one of the leading Ukrainian manufacturers, in January - September 2014 received the net loss of 834,265 million hryvnias, which exceeded the loss over 9 months of 2013 in 6.4 times. The net sales income decreased 2.3-fold and made 373.426 million hryvnias.

During this period the company received the gross profit of 52.364 million hryvnias (the growth by 23.8%), the loss from operating activities made 611.797 million hryvnias (an increase in 6.6 times).

Over 9 months of 2014, the company Bogdan Motors produced 2159 vehicles, which is a 61.2% decrease on the similar period of the last year, the production of cars fell by 60.3% and made about 2000 units.

According to Association of the Kazakhstan Car Business, sales of cars and LCVs decreased by 9% to 13701 units in September 2014. Following the results of nine months of 2014, the automotive market of Kazakhstan increased by 5.2% and amounted to 113125 cars.

The absolute leader in the Kazakhstan market is a brand Lada, which share last month was 26.4% of sales of cars in Kazakhstan - 3619 cars (-36.4%). KIA, which sales increased by 74.4% and made 1641 cars, remains on the second place. Hyundai is on the third place - cars of the Korean brand were sold in number of 1528 units (+33.9%). Equal sales results of 1223 cars were showed by Toyota (+3.7%) and Daewoo (-3.3%). Chevrolet with a figure of 912 sold cars rounds out the top five (-6.5%).
