The automobile company Bogdan Motors, combining the business assets of Bogdan Corporation, one of the leading Ukrainian manufacturers, in January - September 2014 received the net loss of 834,265 million hryvnias, which exceeded the loss over 9 months of 2013 in 6.4 times. The net sales income decreased 2.3-fold and made 373.426 million hryvnias.

During this period the company received the gross profit of 52.364 million hryvnias (the growth by 23.8%), the loss from operating activities made 611.797 million hryvnias (an increase in 6.6 times).

Over 9 months of 2014, the company Bogdan Motors produced 2159 vehicles, which is a 61.2% decrease on the similar period of the last year, the production of cars fell by 60.3% and made about 2000 units.


17.10.2014 / Sales of cars in Kazakhstan decreased by 9% in September 2014

According to Association of the Kazakhstan Car Business, sales of cars and LCVs decreased by 9% to 13701 units in September 2014. Following the results of nine months of 2014, the automotive market of Kazakhstan increased by 5.2% and amounted to 113125 cars.

The absolute leader in the Kazakhstan market is a brand Lada, which share last month was 26.4% of sales of cars in Kazakhstan - 3619 cars (-36.4%). KIA, which sales increased by 74.4% and made 1641 cars, remains on the second place. Hyundai is on the third place - cars of the Korean brand were sold in number of 1528 units (+33.9%). Equal sales results of 1223 cars were showed by Toyota (+3.7%) and Daewoo (-3.3%). Chevrolet with a figure of 912 sold cars rounds out the top five (-6.5%).

According to Association of car makers of Ukraine «Ukravtoprom», Zaporizhye Automobile Plant increased its production of cars in 28 times in September 2014. For this month 922 cars rolled off the plant production lines. In August 2014 ZAZ produced only 32 cars.

In September 2013, the company produced 1469 cars, which is a 37.2% increase on the similar period of 2014. In general, the production in January-September 2014 decreased by 11.5% in comparison with the previous year.

The law, under which drivers must use winter tires during the period from December 1 to March 1, was adopted in Belarus. Owners of vehicles with technically permissible total weight up to 3.5 tons, cars and cargo and passenger vehicles with GVW over 3.5 tons and buses with GVW up to 5 tons must change tires now.

According to Association of car makers of Ukraine «Ukravtoprom», in September 2014 the Ukrainian automotive market decreased by 72% in comparison with the similar month of 2013. In September 2014 only 5788 cars were sold in Ukraine, which is a 10% decrease on August 2014.

The segment of commercial vehicles showed the sharper decrease in comparison with September 2013 and August 2014. In September 2014, 411 vehicles were sold, that is by 14% less than in August 2014 and a 75% decrease on results of September 2013.

Among cars Toyota, which sold 974 cars, became the market leader, the second place was occupied by ZAZ with a result of 434 sold cars, Volkswagen with a figure of 368 cars is on the third place.


08.10.2014 / Assembly of Peugeot and Citroen will be organized in Belarus

PSA Peugeot Citroen will launch the production of cars in Belarus. The corresponding agreement was signed in Paris. Assembly of cars will start in November 2014 at sites of a joint venture Unison JSC (Minsk region).

In 2015 the company plans to produce a total of 2 - 2.5 thousand cars. The Belarusian company will assemble 4 models Peugeot and 2 models Citroen, cars are designed for the domestic market of the country.
