In the second quarter of 2018 UAZ will begin to assemble its cars in Kazakhstan at two sites: Asia Auto plant in Ust-Kamenogorsk and SEMAZ branch in Kokshetau. Patriot and Hunter will roll off the assembly line of these plants. Moreover, UAZ plans to assemble commercial vehicles — vans, buses and ambulances.
According to the Union of Enterprises of Automobile Industry of Kazakhstan KazAvtoProm, over ten months of 2017 15 014 vehicles (including cars, trucks, buses, special purpose vehicles and trailers) were produced in Kazakhstan. The production volume exceeded the last year's figure 2.7-fold, coming close to the result achieved in 2015 (15 210 units).

GAZ Group entered into a contract for the delivery of 265 low-floor LIAZ buses to Kazakhstan. Buses equipped with air conditioning system, DVR's of external and internal surveillance system, the system of counting passengers and the autoinformer will be shipped to the Republic.
According to Russian Automotive Market Research, over the first nine months of 2017 the production of vehicles increased in Kazakhstan and Ukraine and decreased in Belarus. Over three quarters of 2017 a total of 13 thousand vehicles were produced in Kazakhstan (+56.4% on three quarters of 2016), 89% of them - cars.
KAMAZ and «Uzavtosanoat» signed the cooperation agreement providing for the organization of truck production in the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent. The production of KAMAZ trucks in Uzbekistan will be organized at the facilities of UzAutoTrailer LLC (subsidiary of Uzavtosanoat JSC). In the future a joint venture to assemble vehicles on the territory of the republic may be created.
