Automobile plant Ural launched sales of the new Ural Next trucks. Ural Next trucks are designed for passenger and cargo transportation, as well as for trailer towing on all types of roads and off road in extreme temperature conditions. The main customers are petroleum, timber, construction companies and the Ministry of Emergencies.

Ural Next trucks are equipped with a new three-seat cabin with improved heat and noise insulation as well as air tightness. The basic configuration includes electric window lifters, central lock, heated mirrors, heated fuel filters and fuel intakes.

Trucks are based on the upgraded chassis with over 50 design changes. The maximum load on the front axle grew from 5.3 to 6.5 tons, payload capacity of the chassis – from 12 to 13 tons, GVW with trailer – up to 38 tons. The basic power train for Ural Next is the new diesel engine YaMZ-536 capacity of 240, 285, 312 HP.

Ural Plant started serial production of Next family vehicles. About 800 million rubles were invested in development and setting up production of the new Ural vehicle.

New equipment was installed within the framework of preproduction. Particularly, new machines are used for part production and equipment for high quality casting surface cleaning. Additional powder painting facilities are established and e-coating lines are upgraded to increase corrosion resistance of the paint coating.

Cab modules for new vehicles are made at AZ GAZ in a single flow with other GAZ vehicle cabs. Most front-end and structural stamped panels of Next cabs (40 items) are made at automatic Komatsu lines (Japan). Cab parts that are most exposed to aggressive environments are galvanized.

Avtotor Holding and the new Russian distributor of Hyundai Truck & Bus, Hyundai Motor Company, signed a memorandum on expanding their cooperation. This document is the agreement of intent to develop long-term plans for the production of Hyundai commercial vehicles in the Kaliningrad region.

The memorandum implies the perspective plan of development of automobile production by the parties, including increasing volumes and the range of produced vehicles, deepening of the production technology, increasing the level of localization. The document provides for the possibility of various forms of cooperation, including the establishment of a joint venture.

Elaboration of these areas of cooperation will take about six months. In case of confirmation of economic efficiency, the implementation of intents specified in the agreement will be started until April 1, 2016.

24.11.2015 / Amount of the fine for the toll defaulters will be changed

The Ministry of Transport of Russia jointly with deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation developed amendments to the administrative code on collection of fines from drivers and owners of vehicles with permissible maximum weight exceeding 12 tons. Before the adoption of these amendments drivers of vehicles, which belong to the Russian carriers, will be exempted from fines for violation of the payment of the toll from vehicles with permissible maximum weight exceeding 12 tons.

Previously there were heavy fines for non-payment of the toll: for the truck driver — 5 thousand rubles; for owners — 450 thousand rubles. For repeated violation the legal entity had to pay 1 million rubles. Because of protests of truck drivers, some State Duma deputies have already offered to establish a three-year moratorium on collection of the toll for drivers of heavy trucks in order to remove social tension.

GAZ Group and the company Element Leasing developed a joint branded leasing program for buyers of Ural vehicles. This branded leasing program is valid throughout Russia until December 31, 2015.

The program provides for the reduction of the annual appreciation of 0.65%. Rise in price depends on the number of purchased vehicles, selected type of payment schedule, size of the initial payment, as well as the term of the lease agreement.

Advantages of the new program are available for any companies, as well as individual entrepreneurs, who purchase Ural trucks.

20.11.2015 / Production of commercial vehicles in January-October 2015

According to Federal State Statistics Service of Russia, 103 thousand trucks were produced in January-October, which is a 18.3% decrease on the previous year. Last month 13.1 thousand trucks rolled off the Russian production lines that is by 2% less than in 2014.

In October KAMAZ cancelled a part of the previously announced downtime due to the increase in the number of orders for trucks. Beginning October 2015 Volvo Trucks plant in Kaluga resumed the production of Volvo and Renault trucks, which was suspended in February 2015 because of the falling demand for commercial vehicles. Gorky Automobile Plant launched the production of GAZelle Next all-metal van and Volkswagen plant in Kaluga started the assembly of light commercial vehicles of the new T6 series (Transporter, Caravelle, Multivan). In addition, Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad began serial production of Ford trucks.

18.11.2015 / Import duties on LCV may sharply decrease

The sub-commission on customs-tariff, non-tariff regulation and protective measures in foreign trade of the Governmental Commission on economic development and integration decided to reduce import duties on light commercial vehicles (LCV) to 5% for one year. It was decided to separate a code and reduce import duties to 5% for light commercial trucks for a period of one year. Now the import duty is 15%. The Protocol of this decision will be sent for approval to the Governmental Commission, then included in the Eurasian Economic Commission and by the results of the decision taken by the Commission it will come into force in 30 days.

18.11.2015 / Hyundai Truck & Bus changed its Russian distributor

The new official distributor of South Korean Hyundai Truck & Bus in Russia became Hyundai Motor commercial cars Rus (HM CV Rus). HM CV Rus belongs to Alexander Khalilov, the joint owner of the group of companies AutoSpecCenter. In addition to cars the group sells Hyundai, Hino, Fuso, and Citroen commercial vehicles. HM CV Rus is the first distributive business of shareholders of the group.

Hyundai Truck & Bus is a division of Hyundai Motor Company, producing trucks, tractor units and buses. HM CV Rus will sell vehicles of only Russian assembly.

The new distributor will be engaged in sales of South Korean vehicles and spare parts in the European part of Russia (east of the country is covered by Hyundai Truck Siberia). By the end of the year the company plans to sell 500-600 trucks and more than 2 thousand vehicles next year.

17.11.2015 / KAMAZ won a tender for supply of gas vehicles

KAMAZ will deliver 50 combined road vehicles on KAMAZ-65115 chassis to the leading enterprise of the road sector of Bashkiria – the company Bashkiravtodor.

Leasing company KAMAZ won a tender on the purchase of vehicles. The total amount of the leasing transaction is 377 million rubles. Under the contract special purpose vehicles on KAMAZ-65115 chassis running on gas fuel will be delivered until December 25 of the current year.
