The Russian government approved a decree, under which trailers with GVW of up to 10 tons are exempted from the recycling tax on self-propelled vehicles and rates of the recycling tax on trailers with GVW exceeding 10 tons were reduced.
According to the Federal Customs Service of Russia, in January-March 2016 import of trucks decreased by 38.2% to 3.4 thousand trucks on 158.8 million dollars. 2.7 thousand trucks on 69.1 million dollars were imported from foreign countries, the remaining 600 vehicles on 89.6 million dollars – from CIS countries.
