Ford Sollers expanded its export supplies to the market of Kazakhstan: it began to deliver special vehicle versions based on Ford Transit – fixed route buses and chassis with superstructures. Vehicles will be used in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.
In April 2016 the company «Fora» became the official dealer of Jaguar Land Rover in Armenia. Under the agreement, «Fora» becomes part of a single dealer network of Jaguar Land Rover in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia, and begins to carry out its operation under the leadership of the Russian representation of the company, acting as an official importer.
In the near future the official presentation of Indian car Bajaj Qutein will take place in Kazakhstan. In India Bajaj Qute falls into the category of quad bikes and its cost in the market of this country is 2 thousand dollars. If in Kazakhstan Bajaj Qute falls into the category of cars, because of customs payments its price will increase to 5 thousand dollars.
In 2016 Zaporizhye automobile plant will resume its work. The first launch of the assembly line is scheduled for the end of April. It is expected that the plant will start serial production of ZAZ Vida Pick-up van presented in 2013. The new car will replace ZAZ Lanos Pick-up, produced since 2005.
According to the Association of Kazakhstan's Automotive Business (AKAB), over the first two months of 2016 LADA sales in Kazakhstan fell 6.2-fold and made 1057 units. As a result the Russian brand lost its leading position in the Kazakhstan automotive market for the first time in many years, and found itself behind Toyota, which in January-February 2016 sold 1384 cars (-22.6%). Similar result was shown by Renault – 1045 cars (-2%).
According to Association of car makers of Ukraine «Ukravtoprom», following results of March 2016 sales of new cars in Ukraine increased almost 2.2-fold and made 4902 units. Positive dynamics in the Ukrainian car market continued for three consecutive months. Over the first quarter of 2016, 12286 cars were sold in Ukraine, which is a 57.9% increase on the previous year.
