Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad expanded the line-up of manufactured Hyundai HD78 medium-duty commercial vehicles by the version with extended wheelbase. The wheelbase length increased by 1100 mm in comparison with the previous version Long and amounted to 4835 mm.

Hyundai truck division presented a new Mighty medium-duty truck, which is the HD78 successor. The car received a new design, more spacious cabin and a wide range of options. Two main versions will be offered in Russia: Mighty EX6 with GVW of 6.5 tons and capacity of 3.9 tons and Mighty EX8 with GVW of 7.8 tons and capacity of 5.1 tons.
Isuzu Rus presented the first certified prototype of the new vehicle with gas engine on light-duty Isuzu NPR82/CNG chassis. In the second quarter of 2018 it is planned to launch the production of the first batch of CNG vehicles, and in July 2018 the company will begin sales through Isuzu dealer network.
GAZ Group presented a new export model, Ural NEXT drop-side truck (6x6 wheel arrangement) with right-hand steering, which will go on trial to one of the African countries.

The Russian government approved the allocation of funds for the purchase of ambulances and school buses. According to signed orders, in 2017 1 150 ambulances (in 75 Russian regions) and 1 549 school buses (in 77 Russian regions) will be supplied.
